The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has contracted with WestCare California, Inc. to assist parolees in breaking the cycle of addiction, incarceration and recidivism. WestCare California and its dedicated treatment provider network are working cooperatively with CDCR to provide individuals the right service, the first time.

Scope & Services
Parolees are able to access six months of any combination of services. Extensions are based on clinical necessity. Anyone under active supervision with State Parole is eligible.
- Residential Treatment: Gender-Responsive, Trauma-Informed
- Education: Parenting, criminal thinking, anger management and domestic violence courses
- Transitional housing with linkage to other outpatient services Outpatient drug and alcohol treatment
- Sober living environments
- Vocational training and life skills
- Pre-employment and job placement services
- Transportation to contracted treatment programs
- Serving Del Norte, Siskyou, Modoc, Humbolt, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Mendocino, Tehema, Plumas, Butte, Glenn, Sierra, Lake, Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Nevada, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, and Sacramento Counties
- Case Management
- Treatment placement in residential, outpatient, and sober living
- Domestic violence, education, vocational training
- Pre-employment, job placement services
- Transportation from prison to treatment providers

Funding
STOP accepts referrals from CDCR Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUDT) programs and Parole, Inmates at facilities or yards without a SUDT program can request a referral from the Correctional Counselor when completing their parole plans.
