WestCare California, Inc.’s Bakersfield Recovery Residence is for adult men with substance use disorders who lack a safe or substance-free environment to reside in and are at risk of experiencing homelessness. The men that we serve are actively engaged in a treatment program and live substance-free while residing at the program. They cook and clean their own units and participate in the general upkeep of the property.

Funding
WestCare’s Bakersfield Recovery Residence is funded through the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), STOP: Area 3 (Specialized Treatment for Optimized Programming), and resident fees. Assessment of a person’s ability to pay for a portion or all of the cost of treatment is determined on a case-by-case basis. Services are never refused due to a person’s inability to pay. Some programs have a waiting list.
